Bella Shmurda, a close friend of the late artist, has finally broken his silence on the matter, pointing fingers at Naira Marley and Sam Larry. In a heartfelt statement shared on his verified X account, Bella Shmurda expressed his anguish and determination to seek justice for his departed friend.
Bella Shmurda began his statement by revealing the inner turmoil he has been experiencing since Mohbad’s tragic passing. He emphasized how Mohbad’s spirit seemed to haunt him, urging him to take action against those responsible for the maltreatment and malicious acts that ultimately led to the artist’s demise.
“I’ve been deliberating on what to do, while the authorities of the Nigerian police should at least get hold of the people involved in maltreatment and malicious acts towards Mohbad. Since he died, his spirit has not left me, saying a lot of things in my head and pointing fingers at people that need to be held accountable.”
Bella Shmurda disclosed that he had been in Canada just a few days before Mohbad’s passing, during which he had visited his friend and discussed his plans. However, he was unable to proceed with his tour and return to Nigeria due to the emotional toll of the tragedy.
“I’m not mentally in shape for it, and I will be back in a few days. Regardless, Mohbad submitted lots of petitions against these people and their acts towards him, but the Nigerian police have been driven by nepotism and a nonchalant attitude toward this matter until this boy is no more.”
Expressing his frustration and determination to seek justice, Bella Shmurda vowed not to remain silent any longer. He asserted that if the Nigerian police were unable to take action, he and the concerned individuals would take matters into their own hands, legally or illegally.
“If they all run out of the country, which shows that they’re actually guilty of whatever crimes were said to have been committed by them, then they’re guilty, and they should never come back. They should be banned from entering the country for life.”
Bella Shmurda concluded his emotional statement with, “In Mohbad’s memory, let’s get him the justice he deserves. All hands on deck. #JusticeForMohbad – fish them out, legally or illegally.”
